Dear Friends,

I am honored to serve as your District 4 representative on the Denver City Council. I am asking for your support as I get an early start for my reelection campaign.

As promised, I continue to advocate for southeast Denver and to ensure that our voices are heard and that our district gets the resources and attention it deserves. Since I was elected in 2015, I have advocated for southeast Denver and engaged my fellow District 4 residents. 1000s of residents have attended meetings and provided input on the future of southeast Denver. Our 2016 visioning meetings created a community vision for the District and helped to create a roadmap for me, guiding the work of my office. You can read more about my work here.

Citywide, this is an exciting and transformative time for Denver. Our population is growing and our economy is strong, but it’s not all good news. Traffic is getting worse. Many neighborhoods feel under siege by new development and increased density. Housing costs are high and the supply is low. Many people can’t find an affordable place to live. I continue to work with residents, businesses and the public sector to find balanced and commonsense solutions to these issues and Denver’s many other challenges.

As Denver continues to grow and change, it is more important than ever to advocate for southeast Denver. Our unique corner of the city is home to some of the best neighborhoods, the most beautiful parks, great schools and five light rail stations. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been much positive public or private investment in the area. I am a strong voice for the district and will continue to advocate for resources and for our community’s vision.

Thank you for your support in the past. I hope I can count on your support for the upcoming election so I can continue to guide our great city into the future.
